BACHELOR OF FINE ARTS - DANCE

The Bachelor of Fine Arts-Dance degree is for the student who wishes to focus on performance and choreography through comprehensive development of practical skills and theoretical knowledge.
GENERAL EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
Communications Requirement A. (0-3 cr), B: Dance 200 3 cr
Quantitative Reasoning A, B. (2-6 cr)
LIBERAL STUDIES 36 credits (see EASI website for details)
Humanities 9 cr
Social Studies 9 cr
Science - 9 cr and must include a laboratory science course
Electives - to bring total to 36 cr

111-412 Modern Dance Technique (9 cr must be from 311-412) 18 cr
125-425 Ballet Technique 14 cr (10 cr must be 225 or above)
World Dance 4 cr (African, Asian, Javanese, and World Dance Workshops under 741-001 or 560 No Jazz/Ballroom)
144 Rhythmic Training for Dancers 2 cr
151 Movement as Material through Improvisation 2 cr
161 Somatic Theory & Practices 2 cr
167 Intro. To Mvt. Analysis 2 cr
