The Bachelor of Fine Arts-Dance degree is for the student who wishes to focus on performance and choreography through comprehensive development of practical skills and theoretical knowledge.
GENERAL EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
Communications Requirement A., B: Dance 200 or any Comm B (3 cr)
Quantitative Reasoning A, B. (2-6 cr)
LIBERAL STUDIES 36 credits (see EASI website for details)
Humanities 8 cr
Social Studies 8 cr
Science - 8 credits, must include a laboratory science course and Human Anatomy 329 (2 cr)
Electives - to bring total to 36 credits

151 Movement as Material through Improvisation - 2 credits
161 Somatic Theory and Practices - 2 credits

General Electives

Public Presentation
Students must create one Solo & one Group piece (trio <) after completion of 255. These works must be faculty approved for public presentation in a concert.
